Children of New Rome
A tabletop RPG of the 9th-century Byzantine–Arab frontier.
THE PITCH
In one paragraph
Children of New Rome is a tabletop RPG set on the road between Constantinople and Baghdad in the year 838. You play soldiers, priests, merchants and healers — not heroes — moving through a country that has used everyone hard. The rules are elegant by design: one core mechanic, light bookkeeping, deep choices. The period does the heavy lifting. The first campaign book, Amorium, walks the year of the great Anatolian sack; the second, Cappadocia, is a year of small seasons in the country that has hidden armies before and will again.
ONE-LINER
